A video screening and panel discussion exploring the colourful, outrageous and deeply personal connections that have made Karangahape Road a cultural and spiritual home for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s rainbow communities across the generations.
The evening featured a series of candid video interviews with takatāpui, queer and gender diverse folk who have lived and worked on Karangahape Road from the 1970s until the present day – followed by a moderated discussion that delves into the queer whakapapa, true stories and urban legends that have carved out a unique place for K’ Road in the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand’s rainbow communities.
