Neck of the Woods
8pm to 2am
We come together for Matariki as a whanau of Karangahape district, as part of Te Karanga a Hape.
As we observe New Zealand's first Matariki public holiday, gather with friends and whānau to celebrate the Māori New Year and learn more about Matariki – a time to remember loved ones, plan for the future, celebrate the present and honour ancestors.
Join us for a night of local Māori musicians under one whare: Dirty Knees • Majic Paora ( acoustic set) • Sandy Mill ( solo with support from Dylan C) • Rei • Katayanagi Twins • Dylan C
Matariki represents a time of rebirth, reflection and gives us some insight into how to move forward.
Proudly sponsored by Karangahape Business Association and curated and produced by Cross St Music Festival Productions and Bob Frisbee.
Thanks to Scapegrace and Neck Of The Woods for support.
Visual projections from Alex Ward and lighting and set curated by Cat.
